Tim's parents are taking us to Hobby Craft later. I can't wait! My poor bank account, it suddenly feels ill.

Speaking of money, I feel like such an idiot. When I first saw Mamma Mia in tescos for £8, I wondered why I saw people buying multiple copies! I went to HMV to get it for Nan for Christmas yesturday, and I had to spend £15.

I was bad and bought myself The Time Traveler's Wife yesterday. I was dying to read it after the discussion in class. I'll get on that later~

Tim surprised me with a meal out. It was so sweet, after I got over the initial "we can't spend money on stuff like that!". It was part of my Christmas present. Hehe, it was lovely! He even bought me a rose! *gush*

I have so much to do! I have to sort out my Secret Santa's gift for postage, and I have to sort out a tesco order online to get Chrimbo food in for Nan, and I have to order some of the Christmas gifts I need for people, AND I have a whole lot of writing to do.

(I was reading over my LJ last night and got nostalgic...I'm going to try to post every other day! Back into the habit Sam!)

Mint died. :( Poor little thing. He had a lump that came out of nowhere, and the vet said he couldn't do anything for him because of his size and age. Sauce looks so lonely and sad in the tank now...I wondered if I should get him a new gerbil friend, but I think I've had enough of small animals with short lives. They always seem to die just when you really really get attached. I'll prob end up caving at getting another one though, since Sauce is so lonely.

It's always so long between posts that each one I do is always a sort of catch up, and then I can't seem to motivate myself to write anymore. So to break the cycle, here is a general list of what I've been doing:
1) Going to Derby Uni
My new course is great, and the new Uni is way better then the last. Hurrah!

2) Living at Tim's house during term time
Living with Tim's family is actually really nice. I've never really had the "stable family environment", for want of a better way of saying it, and it's a nice change. Though I really do miss Nan terribly.

3) Making lots of new friends!
Yay! You can never have too many friends. There's a ton of people not too far off on DoA as well, so I've been going to some meets. Fun stuff!

There, that's out of the way. Oh, and Scotland was great btw, apart from the weather...the Isle of Skye had really bad hurricane like winds one night and we lost the tent! Still had a good time though.

I've been dying to get my dolls out recently. Unfortunately they have to all stay in bags and boxes until the study is ready. There's just not enough room in our room for them, not to mention the fact that Tim's room has bright, direct sunlight that fills the room from about 10am to 3pm.

I get them out now and again, but not for very long. It's too awkward. It's not like I would play with them everyday or anything, it's surprising how much I miss them considering all they usually do is sit on a shelf and look pretty. Eh, I'm weird I guess, I just like looking at them.

I'm taking a break from buying dolly stuff at the moment. It's just so expensive, way more then it used to be. I bought a wig and a pair of jeans a little while ago and was really shocked how much it cost me in pounds. Stupid economy. :( Really can't afford much at the moment at all, especially with the wedding only 7 months away now!

I was trying to come up with inexpensive things to do, and I came up with the idea of starting to draw again. I used to draw loads and loads when I was younger, but gradually fell out of the habit. I'd love to start again. I'm not great or anything, but I'd only get better if I practice. I figure I might invest in a thick sketch pad and a pack of pencils, and I'll be set for ages. :3 I shall draw anything and everything!

Ah that reminds me, Jilly is out for a faceup. Well, the new Jilly. I did end up selling my Narae Butterfly like I said, and I got an active line Miyu. She's really adorable, exactly like a mini Bella! I really hope she's done by Christmas. I can't wait to see what she looks like.

Argh, why is my iPod being such a dick? It's suddenly started shuffling all wrong - sometimes it gives me the same song three times in a row! It's happening too often to be a coincidence. I think it hates me.

Heeelllo Diary, what's up?

It's been awhile since I last posted, time for a good catch up me thinks! (In other words, Sam is procrastinating when she should be working on packing for the camping trip tomorrow)

Currently, 28 weeks later is on TV. I went to see it in the cinema, but oddly it wasn't anywhere near as scary as I'm finding it right now. ;___; Think happy thoughts!

Tomorrow I'll be heading up to Tim's parent's house (my fiance, have I mentioned that I'm engaged here yet?), and before we leave for the Isle of Skye, we'll be going to the registry office to register our intent to marry. :3 Yay! I can't wait, roll on June 6th! We have to do it in 3 places...one for where I live, one for where Tim lives, and one for Penkridge, where the church is. I'll have some time after the trip to register here, before I go off to my new Uni in September.

Yep, I'm going to a new Uni...Derby! Some shit happened that I'm too lazy to go into right now, and I'd decided I'd had enough. I figured it wouldn't hurt just to try UCAS out, I mean it wasn't definite, I could stay at Glamorgan if I didn't get an offer. I got loads of unconditionals though, and I decided to go with Derby. I'll be doing Creative Writing. It's a great Uni. :D

Hmmm...what else? Oh! I have a guinea pig now. His name is Peanut. :3 I have some good pictures on my camera, but it needs some new batteries before I can upload them...

I had a big change around with dolls recently. I've sold Gabriel and Jilly...I've been mulling over selling Gabby for ages now, and when I saw Iplehouse Mars, I knew for sure I'd found a replacment. :D He's ordered and paid for!

The problem with Jilly was that I was constantly worried about her turning yellow. I never played with her, and always left her in her box. I decided I'd get a MNF Miyu, and she's currently on order too. A note to Fairyland: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send me my invoice before I'm cut off from civilisation for 2 weeks!

Mmm, two dolls at a time. It'll be like christmas!

Siiiiiigh.

Last Friday, little Toffee died. Nan came downstairs at about 6pm, and said he was acting funny (we kept him in my Nan's room). I went up to check, and sure enough, he was lying in the corner of his cage, breathing heavily. My instinctive reaction was "How can I save him?" but I picked him up, and he was stone cold. He barely noticed me moving him. I realized that delaying the inevitable would just be mean to him, after all, he's led an awfully long life, for a hamster.

I took him downstairs with a towel. I figured holding him in my hands and then wrapping my hands with the towel was the best way to keep him warm. I did manage to warm him up quite a bit, but half an hour or so later, he had a little seizure and stopped breathing. I held him and stroked him the whole time. T__T

It was horrible. The poor thing really looked like he was in a lot of pain.

Sad thing is, in a couple of weeks, he would have been an entire 5 years old! He really became proper family pet in that time, and even my Nan loved him (she hates animals). Even though he's gone, she keeps forgetting and still leaves the lamp in her room on for him.

I miss little Toffee sooo much. This is the best pic I have of him, from when he'd lost most of his fur (that was awhile ago, and he grew it back soon after. Not sure what that was about!)

Hello again!

Yes, I'm still awake, constantly refreshing FL to see if Rabbit shipped, or if FL answered my Q yet. Tim is spread out on the living room floor, watching Hitch.

Eeeek, I so hope she ships before I leave for Italy! I've always wanted to take a doll on holiday, but I'd never take my bigger ones (not even Charley or Nicky), it's just too much hassle. Also, I want to take funny pictures of her, making her look huge next to landmarks, etc.

I have tons of outfits and shoes I'm dying to try on her!

Sara slept over last night, and we watched some DVDs. Kinky's Delivery Service, by Studio Giblets, as Tim called it. Hehe! I really enjoyed it, but my favorites are still Nausica and Howl's Moving Castle.

Does anyone know any good audio books? Since we're driving to Italy, and I get bad motion sickness when I'm focused on something inside the car (so no reading, or playing on my DS), and music can get boring after awhile, I'm totally going to get me some audio books! I just can't decide on any. >_<

I have a ton of doll stuff to sell too, but I really don't think it's a good idea to put anything up yet, since I only have 2 weeks till the holiday...I guess I'll have to wait! I want to finally get around to sell Oliver's old body, I have 3 or 4 wigs to shift, and Charley's frilly black and white outfit...

I can't wait to put my Sailor Moon star locket on ebay. It'll fetch a pretty penny! Then hopefully I'd have scrapped together another for Isabella (but I'm going to wait awhile before buying her).

I'm also considering selling my Hound, and getting Gabriel a Migidoll Ryu head with a Feeple body. I'm still really undecided, and keep changing my mind...but I think it would be a good change.

But alas, this will all have to wait anyway, because Sara had to borrow my camera for her coursework! >_<

Good morning!

Yesterday, through a series of events, I ended up deleting my xanga. I kind of regret it now...although it was dead, I did have something like 3 or 4 years worth of posts on there. Hmmm...

So I was thinking, I enjoyed my xanga while it was going, and lately I've been spending a lot of time on the internet, but not actually doing anything...and so here I am! I can never sit down and keep a written diary, and truth be told I am a little lonely. I'd love to make some new friends on LJ again!

What to update with first? A lot has happened this past year!

Ok, firstly, I should start off by saying I'm engaged! Yep, I've had a ring on my finger for a few months now! I'm really happy! :D Unfortunately, it will be a long engagement. Realistically it won't happen until we've both left Uni, and have the time to think about planning stuff like that. So alas, there won't be any wedding photos to post yet! ;__; His name is Tim, and although it's incredibly cheesy, he's diffidently the best thing to ever happen to me! Maybe I can find some pictures of us together somewhere...

Mwahaha, dolls! I have a lot more dolls! I've still got Gabriel, Rowan, Cody, Oliver and Charley, but now I also have a Butterfly Narae called Jilly, a Lati Green Ronnie called Nicholas, and a Puki Sugar on the way! Her name will be Rabbit. Hopefully she'll get shipped before I leave on the 15th. I'm going on holiday to Italy with Tim and his family!

I have a few plans in works as well, once I get rid of the stuff I don't need that's lying around (incidentally, if you need a kid delf body, let me know!). I'm going to change Gabriel once again from a Hound to a Migidoll Ryu, and hopefully with a feeple boy body. My next doll after that will be a Delf Miyu, and after that I really think I should stop for a few years. XD

I will amass a Puki army though. One day...>_>

So, today is mothers day! I hope everyone out there who has little sprogs has a good day. I've just spent hours putting the finishing touches on a pillow for my mum, that I'll be taking down the hospital later. I'm really starting to run out on gift ideas. There are only so many teddies and bath sets you can give her. She can't eat, so no chocolate, she can't see the TV, so DVDs are out, I even tried audio books but the nurses never use them.

XD Maybe for chirstmas I can make a blanket or something.

Anyway, I have to be getting off. I have a ton of stuff to do today! I want to leave you a photo though, but only one because I can't remeber how to do cuts and don't have the time to look it up:

;____; We've been sulking around my room together. At least it'll be worth it. I'm getting him a new wig too! Poor guy is gonna be barely recognisable. His default wig annoys me so much...it has bits sticking out at odd angles so he constantly looks like his finger is stuck in a socket. It used to be so silky and nice!

Linny is great to work with so far. I can't wait to see how he turns out!

He'll come back looking great though. It occured to me the other day that I have very few pictures of Cody. His faceup was always dodgy (after all, I did it), but lately it had gotten very dirty and he was missing parts of his eyebrows. That, coupled with his rediculous default wig, make him less then presentable at the best of times xD. But he's my Cody, and I've always thought of it as well loved.

But he's getting a new faceup and a wig! He's going to look so pretty...

I was wondering if you guys could help me on a name for the little one...I had thought maybe Kimi, but I don't know...how about Charlie? I've always wanted a doll called Charlie. Nicky is already taken by future tsubaki of course :P or maybe something different all together?

Ah, I just finished cleaning my room. It's finally starting to feel like my room in here! The first couple of nights I was here it felt so weird. When I went to bed I'd sit up for ages just looking around in the dark, lol. But it's fine now, cause I can finally relax in here!

I had my first seminar for Text and Context yesturday. It was crazy! We have a really young lecturer with a really strange name that I'm assuming is Welsh. Thats not all though, he looks like a cross between Frodo and an elf. I'm not kidding people! He even has elf ears, and a very English accent! XD

He seems like a good teacher though. So far I think I've picked my teachers well. Yes, I purposly worked my timetable around the teachers I liked from the inductions. So far though, I haven't found a teacher on the same level of brilliance as Mr Thomas. Oh well! I live in hope!

Later on we're going to a rock festival thing at the Union with someone called Stuart Cable. Hmm. I'm going to be helping Leanne install windows on her computer and set up all the drivers and everything (she brought her computer from a company that tailor makes each computer...and she forgot to tick an OS. ^^;;)

I have alot of writing to do for my workshops as well. It's that time of year, and I'm definatly in the mood for ghost stories and frights! I've never written horror before, but I think I'll do that for my first workshop. I'm not looking forward to having my work critiqued in front of me, but I think I can handle it...and theres an anon option. ;D

I need to sort out patterns and materials for my comissions too, plus send off momo's leg on the weekend. I think before I put up a selling thread on DoA I'll get some basic patterns for Yo's drawn up. It'll save time indeed!

Also, if anyone could send me towards a good tutorial on pleated skirts, I'll love you forever!

So, how are you guys doing? Sorry it's been so long, I've been really busy with settling into Uni!

Yep, I'm finally here! Lectures started Monday, and I have to say I'm having a great time. Lucky I'm just down the hall from Maggie, and we've made quite a few friends. Later on I have a Language and Society class, and Poetry Reading, which I'm really looking forward to.

I'm on a really limited budget right now though. My loan hasn't come through and it looks like it won't for awhile, but I have text books to buy X:. Yesturday I managed to spend £60 in the on campus book shop on 3 text books alone. >_<

On the plus side, the wig I've had on preorder since July shipped a few days ago! Hopefully it'll be at my house when I visit on the weekend.

You won't belieeeve the views up here. It's so pretty. I'm glad I came here and didn't go somewhere like Cardiff...I think I'd hate to be in a city area like that alll the time. I'll post a picture of the view out of our kitchen window in my next post, and a pic of my room.

The weather is weird up here though. I got drenched the other day because I thought it would be fine to go down to my lecture wearing a thin coat, and I don't have an umbrella. It can spend most of the morning tipping it down, and then suddenly turn to clear skies and sunshine, and even get a little warm.

I brought all the dolls up here, and no one has really seemed to mind them. But then no one is too hot on them either :P. Maggie's already managed to break the 'no price tell!' secret already. >_< I've been a bit crazy about making sure my door is locked, even if I'll only be away for a min.

Hehe, I have some exciting news indeed. Maggie decided to sell the babies because she's not bonding with them, and she wants a Yukinojou for her next doll. XD That means I have first dibs on Chinatsu!

She's not officially mine untill I sell Momo, but she sure has been staying in my room alot. I've already sewed her an outfit! Take a look:

Ok, it's been a couple of crazy days!

Maggie's back from Japan, and boy did she bring alot back with her o.O. I've eaten so much Pocky that it's just not funny! Mmm, my favorite flavors are caramel and milk and honey...I've run out now though ;__;

She also got me a cute little hello kitty lucky cat decoration thing (I forgot what they're called! >_<), some lemon flavored e-ma (which tastes really weird, lol), tea, a pack of MSD/YO sized food rubbers, and of course, the spoils from Tenshi no Sato.

I don't know if I've said, but Ria Ria told maggie that her trip to TnS just so happened to coincide with the after event. She'd been sending me the odd email though, and she told me that she ended up with a crap lottery number and didn't get any dolls.

So I went over her house yesturday and lo and behold...what was sitting in Luca's arms? Yes, a Chinatsu AND a Kuuta. OMG! Hehehe, they're so cute! I'm unable to resist now...I've fallen in love with Sae's sweet dream regumaru Denzel, but thought I could resist getting one...untill the babies (they don't have names yet, so we keep calling them 'the babies'). I spent all day playing with them yesturday, so I'm afraid I've lost any self control I might have had. o__o I have to get one!

Maggie managed to pick up H-03 hands for Rowan (whoohoo!) and a pair of littlewonder ward robe sandles in a nice purple and gold colour. They're cool! Fall of his feet all the time though, lol. She got matching mobile phones for Gabby and Luca too! Yay!

Unfortunatly, she managed to forget to take Momo's leg with her to TnS. So...no leg replacement. *sigh*

I'm not sure what to do now. I think I'll go put a marketplace thread up asking if anyone is willing to take the leg with them if they happen to be going to the LA sumika or something. I'd fix it myself, but it's alot worse now...it's about to fall off completely. Anything I do won't be permintant.

You know, I haven't properly played with Momo in weeks. Probably since I discovered the crack...so months.
It's gotten to the point now where I don't think I'll ever be able to play with her properly, even if I did get a new leg. I'd just be far too afraid that I was going to damage her. I really like her...but to be perfectly honist, I've considered selling her quite a few times in the last few weeks. -__-

I think I'm going to do it. I really love her, but it's so frustrating to have a doll that you can't play with. Her character hasn't been working at all for a while now as well.

Regardless, I'll get the leg replaced before I decide anything, but she'll be staying here when I move into Uni.

I have my card back! The light is crappy today, but I'll see what I can do about some photostories tomorrow!

Ok so, we all know what went down with the caps and the crazy and the hostige situation. There's no point talking about it, I'm sure we're all sick of it.

I'm so amazed that the thread on DoD hasn't died yet, or at least derailed to tea and sex. 70+ pages and counting? All of it repeating the same thing over and over; "waaa I don't like the mods, boo hooo, give me wank now plzkthx".

I'm half tempted to make another thread in lolz linking to the original thread and say "HAHA, look at this, everyone's still wanking! It's so serious! INTERNETZ."

For the record, while I thought the idea of caps and accidental entry to top secret areas was hilarious at first (who wouldn't have a knee jerk giggle? I didn't even know mod areas exsisted), I did so not see the point in creating a 70+ page wank fest. I voted NO.

Everywhere I go now seems so serious. Even DoA, where there are only slight traces of anything ever happening. I absolutly love DoA. I spend hours reading around there all the time. I love the gallery, the discusions, and yes I love the way it's run because that keeps DoA DoA. I joined DoD because I wanted a smaller community kind of feel, even if it is quite snarky. Something a little different to DoA.

I'm sorta bored with DoD now, expecially after the stupidity. I'd turn to AoL, but AoL has always seemed kinda weird...

So! Sae and me where toying with the idea of our own forum. >_> Yeah I know, what am I letting myself into right? But it'll be fun cause we can have it the way we want it, and it'll be a nice tight knit sort of community...

We've spent ages working on it today. Sae's done a great job with the layout! We orginaly wanted pastel greens, but it's ended up being more sea greens and aqua blues. Oh well. I put in all the subforums and stuff, and a rough draft of the rules, but they need major tweaking.

There is much work to be done! I hope it turns out good and that pleanty of people come and join us. It'll be great fun!

In other news: the weather still sucks. I'm thinking of digging out some lamps though, and just taking pictures. At this point I just want to spam you all! :P

Maggie has only been in Japan one day, and I already want her to come back! She needs to come over and squee over him with me...

I let her steal my camera card too. So currently, my camera can only hold 10 photos. This, coupled with REALLY shitty weather, makes for a not happy Sam. She can't take pretty pictures!

But thats ok...Maggie will be back in 2 weeks with goodies (like 'groping' hands for Rowan, seens as she's taking a tip to Sato), and all will be well. I have a gazillion photostories I want to do!

But for now, I will settle with sewing some sexy clothing, while letting Rowan chase Cody around the room. Fun will ensue...>:D

Too bad he just missed summer. I'm dying to take him to the beach!

Oh dear...it's really been years since I've been here. I stopped coming here so often for awhile when things got kinda hectic, and really just didn't get back into the habit of coming here. I really think I should come back though! I've missed reading people's LJs.

So whats been going on?

I sat my A levels, got my results, and I've been out of school for weeks, lol. I didn't do great, but Glamorgan let me in anyway, and thats all that matters. Alevels automatically mean nothing now, lol :P

Can't wait to get moved in and settled. Of course, I'm taking all the dolls!

I've got loads of pics to post. Dolls, and otherwise! I haven't even editied all the pictures I took at the 6th form ball, but you'll get to see them.

What's been going on doll-wise? Well, I didn't end up with that Tsubaki I was talking about in my last post. However, I've managed to save up enough money. Maggie's going to Japan on the 1st of September for 2 weeks, and while she's there she was going to pick one up at Sato for me. But...somethings come up! XD

I'm not going to go into too much detail until I absolutley know I'm going to get him. I'm just so excited about it that everytime I think about it I start squeeing for at least 10 mins XD. I really don't want to come here and look at a post about him if I end up being disappointed. Not that it's a secret or anything...you'd be able to tell if you read my recent DOA posts...>_>

Roll on, Ausgust 28th!

T'was Cody's bday on the 19th. I didn't have a mini-party like we did for Gabriel's (mostly because my dolly dishes are all at Maggies...>.>) but I baked cupcakes. It was hilarious, I stuck a birthday candle in one, made Cody hold it, and Nan and Sarah sang happy birthday.

I wish I had a video camera to hand, that would have been priceless to tape. ;__;

Oh yeah, I ended up having to sell all Sara's dolls for her. She just lost interest...sad really, but now all her dolls have nice homes, and I check on gallery posts once in awhile.

Oh I've given Momo a new faceup! She looks much nicer. She's mostly done, all except for her tat. I know, it's taken me a heck of a long time! I fixed her tat once though, but I didn't realise some of the paint was still wet before I MSCed it. A large chunk ended up rubbing off as I was putting her back together.

SOOOO frustrating!

But thats ok, because it was really easy to touch it up and make it look original, thanks to WaWaMelon's advice. It'll be easy to fix once I take her apart again. Which will be really soon.

She ended up with the dreaded knee crack. I was going to mod her knees to fix it, but Maggie's going to take her thigh to Sato to get it replaced for me, so I'll wait untill she gets back.

Araachan ended up leaving the hobby for awhile, and I haven't seen her online in ages. I think I'll email her with a link or something, I'm sure she'd like to see.

When maggie gets back from Japan and we're all settled into Uni, we'll really be getting back into the swing of things, what with all that free time we'll have...>.>

Well, as of Tuesday, we are now on study leave. That means we get to wander in and out of school when we have free periods to go 'revise' for our up coming exams.

Everyday it freaks me out that we're so close to the end of school.

But! Everyday the sixth form ball draws nearer! >:D

I believe a few posts back I was all whinny and mentioned trying on dresses. Specifically, a very pretty blue dress.

WHOOO HOOO! I waited weeks for it to come, and I can't take one single good pic of it. I swear its much more pretty in real life. At first I was kinda worried that I was over doing it, expecially after getting some choice words from some people that I less then like when I told them where I was getting my dress. But, my friends like it, I like it, and thats all that matters!

I say: to hell with what other people are wearing! We've each got our own themes in my little circle of friends anyhow.
